The spacious, private ensuite rooms ensure comfort, while the large shared kitchen and common areas provide a sociable, communal vibe. I appreciated the ample free parking and the hotel's proximity to local attractions; it's perfectly situated for leisurely walks by the lake or trips to nearby eateries. While the facilities boast modern conveniences, including heating and complimentary Wi-Fi, the real value lies in the cleanliness and upkeep of the property. Unlike my previous stay at Wanaka YHA, which felt lacking, the Brownston manages to deliver a higher standard for a similar price. If you're weighing luxury versus value, this place makes a convincing case for the latter without sacrificing comfort.
